Mr. Piero Cretti, Plastedil’s technical director, is a pioneer of the EPS (expanded polystyrene) technology. He created the first block moulding machine in 1960. He then developed different kinds of expanders, block moulding and forming machines.
Plastedil was established in 1978 in order to promote the technology invented by Mr. Cretti, whose unique capacity and experience are the basis of the company’s activity.
In 1979 Plastedil invented the Plastbau® system and built the machine for the moulding of continuous EPS elements reinforced with metallic parts.
Between 1981 and 1995 several innovative machines were constructed: welding and wrapping machines, shaping cutters, machines for the moulding of rolling shutters boxes, for Plastbau .
